what do you mean it looks uneven? Maybe a second or third coat will even it out. But yes you can wallpaper over it. Go to the paint store and get a product called ';Sizing'; you will want to put that on the wall before you hang the paper.Can i wallpaper over the top of washable bathroom paint?
As long as you prep the wall properly you can wallpaper over it.
