I want to paint over bathroom panels. Can you point me in the right direction?

I need some good instruction on how to make sure the right paint to use and how to make sure it sticks good.I want to paint over bathroom panels. Can you point me in the right direction?
It depends a lot on what the panels are made of. First you need to clean them well. TSP works well, be sure to wear gloves. After that you should sand the rough spots and then prime. Zinseer oil base primer is probably the best for a bathroom. After that you put on your finish coat. It should be glossy or at least semi glossy because of the moisture in the bathroom. Depending on what state you live in you may be able to get a good oil base paint and if you can use that. If the panels are metal (as in an institution) try a paint and primer made for metal like rustoleum.I want to paint over bathroom panels. Can you point me in the right direction?
use kiltz then paint
If you're talking about prefab bathroom panels, like you see in commercial restrooms, I would think that you have to rough them up with sandpaper before paint would stick. Also cleaning with something like TSP may help, as previously suggested possibly Kilz or something of that type also. If you have a mega home store nearby, ask one of their people. Good luck!
I have panels in my living room and zinssler oil based primer is what you need to make sure the paint will not peel.... Then paint as you usually would ...you can also texture with joint compound over this... Slap the joint compound on with a troll and then take wadded up newspaper and just blotch over the compound... then lightly take the troll over to take the sharp edges off... might not be the best for a bathroom though...but is awesome in a living room or family room..... Make sure Zinsser though mildew resist...Hope this helps....good Luck!!
You need to buy a product that you paint on first to make the surface ripe for the paint to stick.there are products available that let you paint on glass.
