You need something to add some life to it. Try a coral color. Go to Lowes or Home Depot and pick up some paper paint samples. Hold them up next to the surrounding walls and see what goes best. The tiles might have some green in them so that you could go to an apple green. Don't be afraid of color.
I would go with the taupe. It's neutral and looks rich against wood.
Go to Behr.com and check out these colors:Yellow family 1.summer harvest 2.satin souffle 3.cream silk 4.pale daffodil 5.creme brulee 6.banana split 7.cottonseed,some of these colors are more of a khaki color than a yellow.Blue family 1.himalayan mist 2.skylark 3.bliss blue 4.blue feather 5.tropical pool 6.sapphireberry 8.little pond.Neutral family-yellow neutral 1.cozy cottage.I think you should repaint the trim a neutral color since you have a lot of brown in your bathroom.
If it is a small bathroom go with lighter colors. A bronzy yellow would probably match well. If it is a larger bath, you can go with a darker color. I just painted a kitchen in a remodel and the color was awful looking out of the bucket but beautiful on the wall and it was a dark avocado color. The trim color had a yellow tint to it although it was white. You can always prime and paint the vanity to match the trim
you should play around with the Sherwin Williams color visualizer to find something you like. It is the best paint visualizer on the web, imho. I like how their color palette is laid out, I like that you can search by color family %26amp; color name, the ';painted'; rooms look the most realistic, and it suggests coordinating color schemes. You can literally spend hours:
