What do you think is the best color to paint a bathroom?

Its small and out of date . . . what would you do??What do you think is the best color to paint a bathroom?
No the question should be WWJD???What do you think is the best color to paint a bathroom?
Something neutral, like a nice grey with white accents - use some bright towels or rug for pop. The neutral color will make it easier to check out your make-up and stuff.
Paint it your favorite jewel tone, dark red, blue, or purple. Then punch it up with art, silk plants and accessories. Go to a bed %26amp; bath store for color ideas and vignettes. You can't make it bigger but you can make it your favorite room in the house.
Pure white walls and trim. Or possibly a pastel. Nothing dark or too pink. Decorate from there. Maybe accent the trim while picking designs.
What color are the fitted fixtures? (tub, sink, toilet)

If these are all a plain white, then any color would look great on the walls.

It all depends on the feel you want the room to convey. For a spa feel, go with a pastel blue or pastel green, and fill the decor with stainless steel or white accents (like towel bars, storage towers, etc), and use a lot of white linens.

For a more feminine feel, paint the walls a pastel pink or pastel purple. A vase of fresh flowers on the counter, and lush thick towels will really make the room gorgeous.

One more thing to consider is to think about changing the light fixture. Choosing a new light fixture whether it be modern or retro or a chandelier, will really help update the mood of the room.

Goodluck!
neutral is boring. you have a small bathroom so make it something that 'wows' people when they open the door. My cousin has a tiny little bathroom and its painted bright lavender. it definitely 'wows' but its so different and cute, one of the best rooms in her house! try a bright pastel, or go for a deep jewel tone if that fits your taste. stick to a matte finish though or it can look like a comic book. my cousin's bathroom is decorated with vintage bottles and postcards in frames which will tone down the brightness as well.
the possibilities are endless!

Go for the gusto. If it's a small room, what a perfect place to do something really rich -- like chocolate brown or charcoal or deep redish orange. Whatever strikes your fancy. Then you can accent with cream or white and a complimentary color like green apple.

I'd suggest staying away from green walls as they may cast a green light on whomever is in the room and it's not the best for applying make-up (or just looking healthy in general).

Most of all, do what you love. If there's a color you've always wanted to use but haven't go for it here. It's just paint. If you hate it, you can always redo it. Especially in a small space.
