..and what type of finish would you use? What is a good colour to paint a bathroom?
Definately a semi gloss, flat paint is a pain to clean. It depends on the color of you counters and tub. If all is white then just about anything goes although I am partial to the pastels...peach, lemon, mint green, powder blue. Or you can go with an ocean theme, blues and greens. What is a good colour to paint a bathroom?
My wife is into Hunter Green %26amp; it really looks pretty good.
(Don't tell her I said that.)
Light Yellow and White trim.*
Light blue will be the best color.
if it has a window and lots of natural light then go dark
I would say, neutral colors, like tan or beige. I think those colors look good in bathrooms.
I prefer blue, light blue..its sound refreshing.
water is always blue colour .. so i think ocean blue looks nice in bathroom ... i think you are in UK if you are .. Go to B%26amp;Q they have samples of many colours to choose from and they can mix colours as well ..
I like neutral or cool colours for the bathroom.
Neutral
beige
tan
cream
stone
grey
sand
Cool
pale blue
light purple
silver
pale green
Sage green is a very popular color now. It is calming and creates a spa-like feel.
I just did Carmel Venetian Plaster with TerraCotta Rose accents. Its warm and inviting.
lavender
I used a colour called Mountain White. It is very pleasing on the eye. It's just got a hint of colour in it, but it goes with anything. For example, I used the same colour in 2 different bathrooms and the two bathrooms have different colour schemes (shower curtains, towels etc in the first bath is a light blue, and the second bath it's a peach colour) and the Mountain White came through wonderfully in both.
I would not use a darker coloured paint though. You want to relax when you're in your bath.
Good Luck :-)
4 Bananas and a cup of earl grey old bean.
For it is written in the stars, if all the world's a tram-ride then jam is also a free spirit to warm you like toast on a cold and frosty morning or in the middle of the night when you lose your underpants whilst tripping a*se over t*t.
Anyway, If this is understood to you by yourself I wish it to be known also that you have a friend in clay pottery classes. Hoooooooooooooooooooooo ray !
A lighter shade of green with an eggshell finish. Soothing color, and easy to clean, but classier than semi-gloss.
Since most bathrooms are kind of small, I'd use a lighter color, maybe white, or a pastel of some sort. That will make the bathroom seem larger, as for the finish I don't think it'd make a difference, but I personally would use a flat finish. I spend a lot of time in the bathroom, but I don't want it to stand out because of the paint's finish.
Consider a relaxing aquamarine color [light turquoise] it's soothing and works well if you want to create a spa mood, keep your wood natural or light to optimize the mood, shower curtin and window curtins should be light and airy looking where as your towels and bathmats can be a heavy cotton to balance the room.Accessories should balance the room and keep your eye flowing through the space.
I like pastels for bathrooms. (Nothing too dark or it will make the room appear smaller.) There is special paint for bathrooms so that it doesn't peel off when the room gets steamy - try Sears Hardware.
i go with peach it's a very pretty color.or a pale
yellow
blue, like the sea
Mine is bright yellow everywhere (including ceiling) with black accents. it sounds weird, but actually looks pretty nice. I used basic indoor paint. Other good colors are sea-themes, pastels, or, if you are feeling creative, all black with glow-in-the-dark spatterpaint and blacklights. Or maybe all white, with the spatterpaints, so when the light is on it looks normal.
blue blue blue...it's relaxing for some reason
If it's small.. use white.. makes it look bigger... and use mirrors... to make it even more bigger
p.s. It might get ditry easily..
I would use a satin finish. But i think the combination of 2 colors looks good in a bathroom. The color or colors depends on your taste. Mine right now is white with the wall by my mirrow a mauve.
Blue, green like the ocean pick your theme and go on its really easy.
brown, cuse it helps ';it'; slide out if you know what i mean
i think blue... its a calm color
A warm but not very dark or golden brown with coordinating towels and other accessories.if you want bright colors, i sugjest a a mellow blue or green.
Beige It is a neutral color goes with any thing
I agree with the yellow but I would go with a more subtle yellow yet still make sure it'll cheer you up and get you going in the morning because the bathroom is usually the first place we see. I also agree with doing the satin finish. The more matte finishes will show water spots. If you really feel like adding some more charm, wainscoting isn't very expensive (especially in a small space like a bathroom), adds a great cottagy feel to a space and can protect the bottom half of your walls from any bathroom moisture, water splashes, messes, etc.
