the glossier the better. its easier to clean and harder for mold to grap ahold of because its smoother. What kind of paint is best to use while painting a bathroom?
It depends on what type of bathroom, if it has a shower, and if so, how well vented and how large it is. If you have any moisture issues (ie if it is smallish and /or not well vented), you would be better off with a glossier paint. In Benjamin Moore paints, I would use one of the following finishes, (from highest to lowest glossy-ness): semi-gloss, pearl, eggshell. If moisture is not an issue, really it comes down to preference. Personally I like eggshell finish- it has some of the durability of the glossier paints, and the look of the flat paints. For me, glossier paints seem to bring out the imperfections in the walls, and just make the walls stand out in general, making the room feel more closed in. To me it seems lighter and airier with a lower gloss paint.
good luck!
semi and if you have a lowes around they have a paint formulated just for bathrooms it is called bathroom paint and it is great good by to mildew and very scrubbable.if you dont want to use that just go with a high quality semi.
We just did our bathroom using semi-gloss for the trim and eggshell for the walls. The eggshell surface works really well -- it's not super-shiny like semi-gloss, looks good with the trim and is still easy to clean. I would do it this way again!
flat looks better in a bathroom;, although semi-gloss holds up better. i prefer a soft green or a bright yellow. ood luck.
definitely a semigloss-not flat-it will not hold up to the humidity. also, they have special mildew/mold resistant paint that is really good for bathrooms.
Go with a semi-gloss that is mildew resistant. Good luck!
semi gloss in and on the home -easy to wipe clean.
