Bathroom paint peels badly due to high humidity and heavy condensation. What paint can I use next time?

I plan to remove the old layers of paint that are peeling, before painting. We have installed a fan/vent, but the humidity in the full bathroom is still very high. What sort of wall cover can I use, that won't succumb to mold/mildew or peeling?Bathroom paint peels badly due to high humidity and heavy condensation. What paint can I use next time?
Behr has a new paint out this year called Kitchen and Bath Sateen paint that comes in all the Behr colors that has 3 mildicides and extra protection for high humidity areas.Bathroom paint peels badly due to high humidity and heavy condensation. What paint can I use next time?
Well using a primer is always the better choice. It will help lengthen the life of your paint and seal the wall as well.

there are great paints on the market for problem areas such as bathrooms. you can use a melamine paint which is made for bathrooms. But if you look around Home Depot carries it.. Its a paint made just for moisture areas....
prime the walls before you paint . . make sure the paint you buy is specifically made for bathrooms . . it will say right on the front of the can that is what it is used for . . any home improvement department carries it
Before you paint, install a high volume extractor and a window in your bathroom which will reduce the build up of humidity. Tile is always the best solution.
Be sure you use a semi-gloss paint in rooms where moisture is an issue.
After you remove old layers, prime before painting.
They make paint for bathrooms. You can get it at Wal-Mart or Lowes or any other place that sells paint....

Good Luck
Could you use outdoor house paint? That should stand up to moisture pretty well. I'm sure there is also bathroom paint.
There's some nice synthetics that look like grass matting, if you don't want to paint.

If you do paint, be sure to use a latex semi-gloss, as it's more water-resistant than flat paint. Be sure to use a primer, especially since you've removed layers of paint and the walls may have an uneven texture.
TILE IT
Make sure you put the primer first before painting. Primer like, ';Kilts';(I think I spelled it right...)prevents stuff like mold %26amp; mildew. I used waterbased semi-gloss paint for my bathroom. You must dry it completely before you take shower, and make sure you air it out each time you use bath/shower afterwards.
