What's a good 1920's/1930's color to paint our bathroom?

The walls have white subway tiles and the floor have white hexagon tiles with Dark grey/black grout. It's a rather small space so we can't go too dark. What's a good period piece color?

Thanks!What's a good 1920's/1930's color to paint our bathroom?
Personally, I think that mauve would be a good color or a bathroom done just in black %26amp; white would be lovely too...but honestly it also depends upon the style of your home and the location...as fashions varied. Have you checked out any of the sites below:

Go with an opal color, part blue part green. It is a versatile color, very period, and light enough but had a decent color body to it. It is also soothing. It looks good with white and will complement the black grout, too.

Also I recommend getting many color chips in the colors you like (lighter and darker shades too) and tape them to the wall. Light in different rooms will impact how the color appears. Something you might disregard may look perfect because of the lighting in the space.
play around with the Sherwin Williams color visualizer to help you imagine how the colors will look together. It is the best paint visualizer on the web, imho. I like how their color palette is laid out, I like that you can search by color family %26amp; color name, the ';painted'; rooms look the most realistic, and it suggests coordinating color schemes. You can literally spend hours:

I think ';restrained gold'; (# 6129) might be a good choice.

You can take a photo of your house %26amp; upload it to the makeover gallery on this website:

You can get color suggestions %26amp; for $5 they'll photoshop them onto your room so that you can get an idea of what it will look like.
I would go with a light grey color or maybe sage.

By the way, you have the exact bathroom I am wanting. I came on here to see if I could find out how much it would cost to do subway tiles around the tub and hex tiles on the floor. I am also gonna add white bead board to the walls and possibly leave it sage.
when i decorate a period building

a good place for me to start is by browsing the National Trusts colours

they have released a range of colours (and finishes) specific to each period

here is a selection to get you started

If you want to go with a true 1920/1930 bathroom then I'd go with a rose color or robin egg blue. Most toliets/tubs were those colors then. Also wallpaper with loud flower designs were in.
Id wallpaper it check out Bradbury and Bradbury website for retro modern patterns...fabulous
I'd go with ';Seafoam.';
